Eleonor Roosevelt was born on October 11th, 1884. Her family was wealthy and respected. Eleonor was not a happy child when she was young.     Eleonor’s mother became sick with headaches. Eventually her mother died when Eleonor’s mother died. Then her brother got infected with diphtheria and died of it. So, she and her brother were taken to live with their grandmother. Then after a while, her father died. He left behind letters for Eleonor. Voting in Berbera

Voting in Berbera was not great. I thought things will go pretty smooth on the voting day, but I turned out to be wrong. The people acted childishly and everything went downhill. Now, I am getting ahead of myself; let me explain the whole situation. About half of the boys went to Berbera, after one of the students said that he will cover for our food and shelter if we vote for some guy. So we said ok and headed for Berbera. The main reason I went there was to go to the beach. I wasn’t interested in voting but I was going to do it because of my deal. However, what was about to happen would change everything.
The first thing I didn’t like about this was where we were supposed to sleep. We had to sleep on mats outside a hut. The next tiring thing was we had to wake up early for the voting; we had to get a good spot on the voting line. So we went to voting place and joined the line. After waiting for about 2hours, the line finally started. Some people started chaos and started running towards the guards and at the gate. The guards fired guns and I ran away.
I came back after 3hours. The line was longer then before and our school was on the end of the line. So, I joined the line. The sun was boiling hot even though it was just 8 in the morning, and the line seemed to never move at all. I saw the same people that voted come back to the line. Then I realized what they were putting on the people’s fingers. It was a blue thing that could be washed off. In this way people could vote about ten times.
I finally left the voting after gunshots and trouble began. I was hungry too, so I left to go eat. I realized how non-democratic the voting was. After eating lunch, I decided to go to the beach, since after all I came to Berbera to have fun. I heard gunshots around the city and heard that some people got injured. After a tiring day, I had finally had fun at the beach. We left Berbera that night and after a tiring trip back to our school at about 4a.m. I will don’t want to ever vote in Berbera again because of what happened. I mean I could have or possibly died in those wild dilemmas.

Internet Censorship

The internet has become a place where everybody can put whatever they want. The internet has become a very good way to communicate around the world. The world is smaller because of the internet. The internet should be free of things like censorship because nobody owns the internet. It is not fair for governments to censor the internet; the internet doesn’t belong to them.
Even though, it is sometimes necessary for governments to censor certain places on the internet, like Egypt did to Facebook, however this will eventually cause people to get angry and possibly overthrow the government. People will get angry because you took something important from them. The government might also be censoring the internet because they want to hide something or they are afraid the people might overthrow them. These things usually happen when the government is doing something bad. So, the government blocks social websites or other sites where these things are possible to happen. Eskinder Nega, for example, has been jailed for writing things against the Ethiopian government. The government jailed him because he was writing something that was dangerous to them. Internet censorship is basically a way of taking a person’s freedom. If someone posts or puts something out on the World Wide Web it is meant to be seen.
Even though internet censorship is hated in many ways, it still happens. World organizations such as ITU, should control internet censorship. In this way, a country can’t block whatever they want. For instance, China blocks many websites, and this is not fair for their citizens.

Somaliland education

Somaliland’s education is in a good shape. However, they could improve it. If they improve their educational system, then they could improve their future country. Education is very important to the country’s future. The students are the future leaders of a country.
I have been to several schools in Hargeisa. What I saw wasn’t great. The teachers don’t even take the classes serious. The students take the teachers as role models and do what they do. Many students cheat on important exams like the 8th grade exam. The student that has cheated might get into high school without getting caught. This student is not going to do well in secondary school because he has cheated. This will yield citizens that don’t help the country much. However, if the students take their education serious, then the country might benefit significantly.
The government should strive to improve the education of Somalilanders. The future of Somaliland depends on its youth. The better they are educated the more they will benefit their country, eventually leading to recognition. They should bring teachers that take their jobs seriously. This might be one of the reasons the country is not recognized.
Somaliland is a great country that can get recognition if they fix the small obstacles that are hindering its recognition. These are easy to fix or improve. Somaliland’s education system is very important to its youth and its future. So, if they just improve the education, than the country will definitely be in a good shape.

Mogi's trip to Ethiopia

The trip to Ethiopia was exciting since I have never been to Ethiopia. We saw a different lifestyle. We left the school to Wajaale and took a different bus; which was better. Then we left to Diridhaba and had fun on the way. We saw a new environment. We arrived at Diridhaba in the afternoon and stayed there for the night. The hotel wasn't good. We found some condoms in the room, and we had to sleep two people on each bed. The next day we left early at about 5 a.m. to Addis Ababa. The ride was good too. The bus was far better.

We arrived in Addis Ababa in the afternoon. The hotels were slightly better but not what I expected. However, we had good time in Addis. We ate good food. The next day, we went to Addis Ababa university to check out the place we were going to take the exam. It was a good place.

Then we took the exam the following day. It was okay. I think I did okay. People were saying something about cheating, but I didn't saw any cheating. For the rest of the day we had fun. Some people went shopping but I was watching movies.

Then we came back to AT.
